After working as a lecturer for German language in the International Logistics Management BA Program „LOGinCHINA“ at Hefei University from 09/2012 to 07/2014, I relocated to Shanghai, where I began lecturing in the German department at East China Normal University until 02/2022. My work fields included Translation Studies, Linguistics, German as a Foreign Language, Business German and Intercultural Communication. In 2023, I have continued my role as an educator by taking on a position at a vocational college. In 2020, I started freelancing as a localization consultant and translator. My clients included multinational companies within the AI assistant technology environment, the culinary, automotive and renewable energy industries.

Work experience, in addition to over 10 years as a German language specialist, includes:

• Translating and localizing technical data sheets into German, as well as editing and proofreading the English originals
• Performing MTPE (Machine Translation Post-Editing), translating, creating and testing prompts for advanced voice recognition in automotive assistant software
• Transcreating and editing articles, marketing content, internal communication and blog posts
• Transcribing and translating subtitles for historical, educational and environmental video content
• Editing and proofreading academic theses, essays and articles in the fields of archaeology, education and film production
